Continuing Student Advising
There is one day a quarter set aside when day classes are canceled so you can meet with your assigned advisor. You are responsible for making an advising appointment by contacting your advisor at least two weeks prior to Advising Day.
Bring the following with you to your advising appointment:
- Test scores
- Transcripts from previous colleges attended and/or transcript evaluation
- Current class schedule
- Planning Guide for your program
- Transcript from this college
During your meeting, you will:
- Select tentative classes for the upcoming quarter.
- Receive a PIN that allows you to register via the Web Online Registration system.
- Develop an Educational Plan - A quarterly listing of classes you need to complete your degree or certificate.
- Review graduation - Fill out and submit to the Enrollment Services Office your Application for Graduation if you are within two quarters of your anticipated graduation.
Advising and registration go hand-in-hand. Returning students are given an appointment time to register for the upcoming quarter. Your appointment is based on the number of credits you have completed at South Puget Sound Community College.
Registration appointments start on Advising Day and finish before finals week. The date and time can be accessed through online services on our Website at http://www.spscc.ctc.edu using your student identification number and Global PIN.
Personal Identification Number (PIN)
As a continuing student who has been assigned an advisor, you will use your student identification number and a random PIN for registration. You will need to get the registration PIN from your assigned advisor on Advising Day each quarter.
